FAQ

Contact Yellowfin as soon as you know your route, vehicle details and preferred pickup date. Explain any flexibility and important deadline. Carrier availability must be checked for your shipment; a requested date is not guaranteed. After carrier assignment, you receive projected pickup dates and a delivery estimate when possible.

You can request pickup and delivery dates, but Yellowfin’s terms do not guarantee them. The assigned carrier provides projected dates, which can change because of weather, road conditions, mechanical problems and delays at other stops. Discuss important deadlines before booking and keep in touch with the carrier after assignment.

You or your designated representative must be available to release and receive the vehicle. Give Yellowfin the correct contact numbers and tell the team who will attend. The carrier calls to arrange appointments. If the truck cannot safely access an address, you agree to meet at a nearby suitable location.

For non-port shipments, up to 100 lbs in the trunk or back compartment is free only with carrier pre-approval. Extra weight incurs an additional charge. Port shipments must contain no luggage. Neither Yellowfin nor the carrier accepts responsibility for loss or damage to these contents; they remain at your risk.

The service-fee deposit is due once a carrier is assigned and may be paid by credit card or Zelle under Yellowfin’s terms. The remaining carrier balance is due at delivery by cash or cashier’s check. Verify the carrier’s preferred method and correct company name. A request to pay the full amount upfront by credit card requires special approval and carries a 7% processing fee.

Review the written total and conditions for extra charges before booking. Yellowfin’s terms state that the transport price covers taxes and tolls. Order changes, inaccurate vehicle details, undeclared non-operational condition or extra luggage can lead to additional charges. Ask separately about the assigned carrier’s insurance limits and exclusions and confirm truck access; the quote is not a promise of unlimited coverage or access to every address.

Yellowfin arranges open and enclosed transport with contract carriers. An open trailer exposes the vehicle to weather and road debris; an enclosed trailer adds a roof and sides. Confirm equipment, availability and loading requirements for your route and vehicle. Disclose modifications, low clearance and non-running condition before dispatch. Enclosed equipment does not establish the carrier’s insurance coverage.

Ask about pickup scheduling and transit separately for your actual route, vehicle and dates. After carrier assignment, Yellowfin provides projected pickup dates and delivery estimates when possible. These are not guaranteed. Keep the carrier’s business phone number and discuss schedule changes before relying on a delivery date for travel or other commitments.

Disclose non-operational condition before dispatch. For loading on a regular trailer with a winch, the vehicle must roll, brake and steer. If it cannot, Yellowfin’s terms make you responsible for providing a forklift at pickup and delivery. Confirm the equipment and arrangements before booking. A vehicle dispatched as operational that is actually non-operational is subject to the additional fee stated in the terms.

Before dispatch, disclose modifications affecting size or weight and ground clearance below four inches. Disarm alarms or provide remotes, remove or retract loose or protruding accessories, and remove or deactivate toll tags and parking passes. Keep fuel at no more than half a tank, or a quarter tank for port shipments. Follow the luggage requirements for your shipment. Photograph the vehicle, inspect it with the driver and keep the signed condition reports at pickup and delivery.

Review cancellation and refund conditions in your written order before booking. Under Yellowfin’s current terms, cancelling after dispatch forfeits deposits or service fees already paid; orders cannot be cancelled or changed after pickup. Ask an advisor how the terms apply to your order before requesting a change or cancellation.

Yellowfin’s current published terms describe a seven-business-day pickup allowance from the projected pickup date; they do not set out a seven-day refund guarantee. Ask Yellowfin to confirm any cancellation or refund commitment for your order in writing before booking.
